Hello!

My name is Lisa and I’m a Certified Postpartum Doula (DONA International) and Certified Lactation Educator serving the Los Angeles South Bay, Westside, and surrounding areas. I provide nurturing, informed care, assistance, and resources to you, your baby and family as you navigate the postpartum period. My goal is to support you so you feel nourished, confident, and empowered.

Doula care facilitates bonding with your baby, encourages supportive care and nurturing of parents and baby, reduces the incidence of postpartum depression and other postpartum mental health issues, and increases new parents’ confidence in their parenting abilities.

Daytime Doula Services

Education & Resources

Provide evidence-based and unbiased information and guidance about infant behavior, signs and signals, bonding, soothing, feeding, sleeping, bathing, and coping skills. It’s important to me that you feel confident making the right choices for you and your family.

Lactation support

As a Certified Lactation Educator Specialist, my goal is to properly guide and assist you to ensure successful infant feeding. We’ll work together to establish a proper latch, troubleshoot any hurdles you might encounter, and set you up for success to meet your feeding goals, whatever they may be.

Emotional support

Provide emotional, reassuring support in the intense first weeks of parenthood. Parents with postpartum support have been shown to feel more secure and cared for, and to have better outcomes in the postpartum adjustment. Identifying postpartum mood disorders and providing timely support and profesional referrals also is also crucial.

Care

Physical and emotional care for new parents and baby, including postpartum healing. I aim to support families in adjusting, promoting parent-infant bonding, and offering evidence-based information and referrals when necessary on the emotional and physical recovery from birth.

Meals

Preparing nourishing, nutrient rich snacks and meals for the family. Your recipes or mine - a home cooked meal made for you with love and kindness makes all the difference!

Help

An extra set of hands for: grocery shopping, baby laundry, tidying you and your baby’s space, washing bottles/pumps, and generally helping new parents focus more on bonding and healing.

Testimonials

  • “I can’t say enough wonderful things about Lisa! She was and continues to be a great resource. One of the most impactful ways she helped was by recognizing my son’s reflux early on. Her knowledge and keen observations brought so much relief, as she not only identified the issue but also provided guidance on how to manage it effectively. This was my second child and Lisa's guidance and support made it possible for us all to sleep again.

Beyond that, Lisa was an incredible source of emotional and practical support. She helped me feel confident in caring for my baby and always made sure I was taken care of, too—reminding me to rest, eat, and focus on my own well-being. Her calm and reassuring presence made the postpartum period so much less overwhelming.

Whether it was offering tips on feeding, soothing techniques, or simply listening when I needed to talk, Lisa brought a level of care and professionalism that exceeded all expectations. I truly felt like I had an ally who cared about me and my baby’s well-being as much as I did.

I wholeheartedly recommend Lisa to any parent, whether they are new to the job or not. Her expertise, kindness, and dedication made all the difference for us, and I am so grateful to have had her by our side.” - Danielle P. 11/22/24

  • “Lisa provided helpful support during a time of transition, offering her knowledge and a steady presence. Her dedication was evident, and we appreciated having her assistance along the way. She would be a great option for families seeking postpartum support.” - Whitney H. 2/12/25

  • “Lisa is a fantastic postpartum doula!! She's empathetic, easy to talk to, and so helpful! She was a great sounding board for me to decide what would be best for me and my baby regarding sleep schedules and breastfeeding (two of my main concerns). Lisa provided a bunch of education and suggestions for me, but always encouraged and empowered me to what's best for me. She also allowed me to bond more with my son (and even take a shower) which is invaluable!! She's great with babies and I completely recommend her! Plus: she makes a mean sourdough!” - Caitlin H. 2/20/25

  • “Lisa was amazing. My partner and I needed help physically and emotionally, and Lisa was there to help us.

We wanted to learn about how to care for our baby in addition to having extra help. Lisa was incredibly knowledgeable and informative without judgement. She answered all of our questions - big and small - and guided us with what we were going through with our baby girl step by step. She educated us but also respected our preferences as a family.

I also wanted to focus on breastfeeding. Lisa was able to help and educate us in managing supply, latching, and other challenges with breastfeeding.

She helped establish a routine for naps and night sleep (as much as a baby can haha), which was an early success, and continues to be a success to this day.

Lisa's amazingness continued. She cooked us delicious and nourishing meals, which was critical in my healing process. We would have otherwise ordered food and panicked.

She also gave me confidence as a new mom. I was comfortable with Lisa while she watched over the baby.

Since initial consultation, Lisa had always been professional and prepared. But she was also incredibly kind and calm. With the hormones and emotions post partum, it was such a pleasure to have that support and understanding from her.

At the end of our time with her, we came out much more confident as new parents, and our daughter has had a beautiful jumpstart.

We recommend Lisa as a postpartum doula!” - Joan R. 8/31/2025

  • “We love Lisa! She was amazing with our baby and incredibly helpful around the house. She provided supportive postpartum information and was helpful in answering our questions. She helped to educate us about caring for our first baby and was very open to help with whatever we needed in relation to the baby. She seems to be very dedicated to this work, and it shows! She is an amazing cook and really helped us with the early postpartum meals.” - Jordan S. 12/9/2025

  • “Lisa was not only an important part of my husband and my journey into parenthood but she was critical in my post-partum experience, learning to balance caring for my own recovery with caring for my daughter.

The post-partum experience is a wild one, where everything from your mind, body and soul changes and you are redefining yourself and how you relate to those around you - all while learning a completely new skill of caring for a newborn. From the beginning, Lisa was reassuring, letting me know that everything is "a phase", giving me permission to have challenging moments and let those be simply moments. She shared evidenced based information and tools we can employ as we moved through learning to feed our baby, breastfeed, figure out her sleep schedules, playing with her, and so much more.

I am a hands-on learner and I needed space to discuss, plan and strategize (essentially talk Lisa's ear off!) what I was going to do next before doing it myself. She supported me every step of the way and adjusted the way she supported me and my family in the way that we needed it.

With an extraordinarily kind and empathetic sensibility, she listened and met me and my husband where we were. And our daughter loved being cared by her like when my husband and I desperately needed a nap in the earlier days or when I needed a shower and time to myself.

My mother, who does not speak English very well, was staying with us a few weeks and Lisa was culturally sensitive and helped my family feel comfortable to navigate this phase unapologetically and without having to explain our Korean rituals (e.g., eating seaweed soups as much as possible!) and beliefs. She was respectful, supportive and empowered us to lean into our instincts as new parents with our own beautiful identities and cultural backgrounds.

Thank you, Lisa, for the confidence you helped nurture in our family as we became first time parents. The next family is very happy to have you guide them!” - Annie C. 12/12/2025
